Parade Details:

The parade begins at 10 a.m. behind Edina City Hall (4801 W. 50th St.) and travels down 50th Street ending at Halifax.

The hour-long parade features veterans, marching bands, floats, horses, musicians, community groups, politicians, and more.

We recommend spectators arrive early, since an estimated 20,000 people will attend the parade. The parade will also be broadcast on Edina TV (Comcast channels 16 and 813) and made available later for viewing on the City’s website, YouTube channel, and social media.

 
 
  • The 2024 Edina fireworks will be held on July 4th at approximately dusk.

    The First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band will play at Rosland Park on July 4th at 8:30 p.m. New this year, three food trucks will be parked at Rosland Park to serve fireworks fans while they await the show.

  • There are no changes in 2024 to the parade route or parking. View our 2023 map to make your plans.

  • The 2024 Edina Parade kicks off with a new 0.75-mile sprint race from the top of the hill at City Hall to Lunds & Byerlys. Follow @edinadash on Instagram for details and register online.

 
 

New in 2024

Edina Dash

Are you the fastest man, woman or kid in Edina? Introducing the inaugural Edina Dash to kick off the Edina Parade! Sprint 0.75 miles from City Hall down 50th Street in front of 20,000 fans.... all for a great cause. All proceeds benefit Edina Give & Go and the Edina Community Foundation.

The fee is $20 per entry. Prizes will be awarded for Edina's fastest man, woman, and kid and the best-dressed group and individual.

The winners will receive custom trophies & "Fastest x in Edina" gear.

The race will be run at 9:30 a.m. before the parade begins. Follow @edinadash on Instagram for details.

 

U.S. Air Force Band of

Mid-America

The USAF Band of Mid-America has chosen to participate in the 2024 Edina Parade! We look forward to welcoming them to Minnesota.

What is there to know about this band?

“The USAF Band of Mid-America’s Ceremonial Bands’ mission is to harness musical excellence to honor our nation and those who have served, inspire patriotism and resilience in our Airmen, Guardians, and nations’ citizens, and connect the Air Force with the American public and community partners. The excellence demonstrated by the Ceremonial Band reflects the excellence displayed by all Airmen

stationed worldwide, whose selfless service and sacrifices ensure the freedoms enjoyed by citizens of the United States of America.”

 

Parade Lineup

Fans of being “in the know” can check out the lineup to see what community groups, entertainment acts, and politicians participate. The 2024 lineup is now available but subject to change.

Edina Fireworks - July 4


Fireworks:

The fireworks will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024 at approximately dusk.

Concert: As is tradition, the First John Philip Sousa Memorial Band will perform at 8:30 p.m. on July 4th. New for 2024, three food trucks will be on hand in Rosland Park from 7-10:30 p.m.
